The Scooty-Puff Sr. was a Starfire hull, outfitted with a capsule. It made use of a 4-part hydraulic cav plate system that is unique to this boat and Dave Vilwock's SS400. It also made use of an offset external rudder.
It was destroyed during a race at Black Lake in Washington on July 9, 2011, claiming the life of it's driver and builder Ryan Butler.
