Pioneer Boats

Pioneer Boats was founded in Paso Robles, California by Steve Hall and made primarily jet boats. It was based at one time at 8120 El Camino Real, Atascadero, California. Pioneer (in Atascadero) went out of business in the mid eighties. The Pioneer molds and name were sold to a guy in northern California who continued to build boats for a few more years. It was registered for business on Friday, June 27, 1975 and was officially out of business on Thursday, October 18, 1990.

The Berkeley Pump Company is (was?) located at 829 Bankroft Way, in Berkeley, California. They produced some of the best and most popular jet drive systems for ski boats.

Guasti Boats

Guasti Boats were built in North Hollywood, Ca. Their shop was on Lankershim Blvd. Ray Caselli (007 Panic Mouse) raced one before Hondo came along.

Bill Guasti backed Nelson Hall in the manufacture and sale of Guasti Boats. The hulls were laid up somewhere in the Inland Empire, possibly Fontana. Nelson's shop (Guasti Boats) was on the east side of Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood Ca- below Magnolia but above Burbank Blvd.

Sanger Boats

Sanger Boats, Inc., founded by Jack Davidson, was established in 1954 in the small town of Sanger, California. At the age of 16, Jack built his first 14-foot wooden boat from the instructions in a magazine. Jack married in 1950 and went on to have four children. In 1956, Jack built his first Sanger dragster for hot boat racing and began drag boat racing competition. In Berkeley, CA , in 1958, Jack set a record at the speed of 118 mph.

They also made Dune Buggies.

Stevens boats held the National SK championships for 1962 and 1963.

Founded by Grier Rush in Maywood CA in the early 1970's. Closed down in April of 2012.

A total of 18 boats were built:

(4) 20ft. 10' mini day cruisers 2 were I/O 2 were V-drives

Stoller Custom Marine

Located at Pass-a-Grille Marine in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Founded by Dave Stoller, who built several different hulls, but not many of each. He built a couple of different flatbottoms, a family style v-bottom and a GN style V-bottom. They were all well made.
