Cougar Daytona 19'

I've owned a couple of the Cougar V-Drive tunnels. I believe I bought the original black and orange gel coat racer in 1982 and ran that with Fraser Valley Drag Boat Association for many years. It was a 1979 hull I think. The center pod was deeper and above 105 mph or so it would start to chine. I was getting close to getting hurt a few times so in 1988 or so I ordered a new one, the primarily orange one #6 in the photos. The center pod was the same depth as the two outer pods.

Cole TR1

Ok guy's...time to air it out! (sorry...couldnt resist!) Runner bottom depth nomenclature has always varied from mfg to mfg and sometimes within the mfg! The Cole TR1 and the Hondo 511 are almost identical except that the Cole mold was MUCH straighter, but not nearly as straight as later Cole models. The TR1 and the 511 where always refered to as a 5/8" Runner Bottom. (No...that's NOT the measurement of the gap between the center and side plate!) The Cole TR2#1 mold was made from a Hondo 511T and featured full length chines, and was referred to as a 7/8" runner bottom.

Willis Jet Hydro Willis Jet Hydro

The new Willis Jet-Hydro is patterned after Dean Willis' famous ROYAL FLUSH, a screaming, bright red machine which he sent skimming across the water at Long Beach, California Marine Stadium at 134.52 MPH, 8.71 seconds ET. The performance improved on the old record for full-blown jet-drive boats by nearly 15 MPH!

Design elements are identical to ROYAL FLUSH, making the Willis Jet-Hydro one of the most famous jet ski boats on the market. Retained is the famous "pickle fork" nose with twin sponsons which at high speed do not actually touch the water but merely provide stability.
