Sanger 18' 6" Drag Boat Sanger 18' 6" Drag Boat

Competition race model. New runner bottom design for 1/4 mile drag racing. The plug and molds were built by Harlan Orrin in 1972-1973. The boats started production at about 2 per week, with the weight set per customer- BFF heavy or UGF light.

Based on a very similar hull to the Aitchison 12.5' Sprinter. A fiberglass boat, it is powered by a 450hp Chevy small block 383. Came equipped with a Hamilton/Aitchison jet unit.

Yellow boat Aitchison 12.5' Sprinter

It has an aluminum hull, & fiberglass deck, and is powered by a Chevy V6 262ci turbocharged engine that makes 450hp & 550 ft/lb of torque. It has been known to leave the water on a hard launch. Came equipped with a Hamilton/Aitchison jet unit.

Eliminator 21' Daycruiser V-Drive

Sanger 19' Pickle Fork Ski Hydro

The 19' hydro is the second generation Sanger picklefork. The Ski Hydro model had a 2 rib deck with a wide cockpit as standard, but you could order a wide cockpit ski hull with the drag bottom and outboard steering.

Early boats had 1 rib on the deck, later boats had 2 ribs on the deck. All of the ski hydros had a much wider cockpit than the drag hydro counterparts. The early pickle fork hulls (1874-1977) had shorter sponson forks than the later 19' hulls (1978-1984).

All of the drag hulls had a 5-rib deck (hence the nickname 5-ribbers), and a narrower cockpit than the ski hulls. The cockpit dimensions above were taken from the advertising material and may be inaccurate for the drag hulls.
